An appliance as easy as a smile
Each aligner slightly repositions your teeth, moving them horizontally, vertically and even rotating them, if necessary. Your aligners are designed to use the right amount of force, in the right place, at the right time.
When you move to the next set of aligners (usually every 2 or 3 weeks), your teeth gradually move, following the personalised treatment plan established by your dentist and Smilers® specialists.
A length of treatment adapted to your needs
Only your practitioner, with the help of the Smilers® specialists creating the treatment plan, can give you an estimate of its duration. Depending on your practitioner's estimate, a second phase may be needed to achieve perfectly straight teeth.
The average length of treatment with Smilers® is 6 to 24 months for patients undergoing standard treatment.
And after treatment? Choose an invisible retainer
Your dentist, in agreement with the Smilers specialists, will propose several retention options:
A thicker night aligner to be worn every night or a few nights a week
A retainer wire
A transparent and painless custom-made retainer, the Smilers Fix retainer
Orthodontic treatment must end with a period called the retention phase.
Essential for the stability of your treatment, this retainer is made of very discreet wires placed on the inside of your teeth, on the top and bottom, from canine to canine. Their optimised shapes ensure optimal hygiene.
Retainer wires come with a safety tray in case the retainer breaks. Should the wire break, you will wear your last aligner at night until your wire is repaired.
The new, patented Smilers Fix retainer system finalises the orthodontic treatment of patients by combining maintenance and aesthetics.
Using an indirect bonding technique with the aligner, Smilers® Fix retainers are completely invisible but allow interdental brushing to ensure optimal oral and dental hygiene.
